A Little About Dr. Miles...

Dr Peter Miles was born in Gympie & soon after his family moved to Caloundra where his father was the first principal of Caloundra State High School. Peter and his wife Sharon live locally in Caloundra with their children Calan, Chaise, and Priya.

Dr Miles received his dental education from the University of Queensland, graduating in 1985 with honours. He received his Certificate and Masters degrees in orthodontics from the University of Pittsburgh in the USA in 1994, graduating first in his class.

Dr Miles has been published extensively in several international orthodontic journals and lectures in Australia, Asia, Canada, & the USA. He is a Senior Lecturer in orthodontics at the University of Queensland School of Dentistry, was the abstracts and reviews editor for the Australian Orthodontic Journal from 1996 - 2006, is a reviewer for the Angle Orthodontist, the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, Orthodontics and Craniofacial Research, and the Australian Orthodontic Journal, a member of the Australian Society of Orthodontists, the American Association of Orthodontists, the World Federation of Orthodontists, and is accredited by the Australian Orthodontic Board.
